John Casey

A proud Wisconsinite, Attorney John P. Casey has deep roots in Southeastern Wisconsin, having grown up in New Berlin and now raising his children in Lake Country while growing his personal injury practice in Wisconsin.

His clients have benefited from his deep understanding of the nuances of the law and his tenacity in the courtroom. His reputation among his peers has helped him achieve large and fair settlements without the need to try cases within the courtroom. When litigation is necessary, Attorney Casey’s extensive knowledge of courtroom procedure, rules of evidence and courtroom presence have helped him routinely secure the maximum amount in damages for clients.

In one case, a pedestrian was hit by a reckless drunk driver in Wisconsin. He fled the scene, leaving the victim for dead. After several attempts to negotiate a fair settlement with the hit-and-run driver’s insurance company, Attorney Casey’s final offer was rejected by the insurer, forcing a trial. Attorney Casey’s argument that the plaintiff deserved the maximum policy settlement due to the negligent behavior of the driver swayed the jurors to agree, resulting in not only the policy limits for his client, but interest on the judgment for the insurance company’s failure to settle prior to trial.

Such examples are not limited to hit-and-run accidents, but include:

Motivated To Help Those Who Need It The Most

“I practice personal injury law because of my desire to help those who have been victimized through no fault of their own. Trial advocacy is the reason I went into law as a career; it is why I set up my practice 25+ years ago; and it is what motivates me today.”
- Attorney Casey

His motivation to help those who are injured extends to various communities in Wisconsin, which have have been underserved by the legal community for decades. A regular talk show guest on Hmong ABC Radio, Attorney Casey answers Hmong listeners’ legal questions through the help of a translator. He is also actively engaged in the Hmong community through sponsorships of the Hmong New Year celebration and the Hmong Chamber of Commerce. Attorney Casey has also written a column on public safety issues for the Wisconsin Community Journal, Wisconsin’s largest African-American newspaper.

Attorney Casey’s legal expertise has been valued by his colleagues and clients alike.

“John is direct, smart and compassionate. He sees 10 steps ahead on any issue, so is always on top of the likely outcome and will strategize accordingly. I have referred several friends and close family members to him because I trust his knowledge, skills and care.”
- Attorney Monica Hartl, a prominent worker’s compensation lawyer in Wisconsin

Attorney Casey also offers a free, confidential consultation and takes cases on a contingency fee basis -- this means that you do not pay unless he wins! Learn more about it in the Contingency Fee FAQ!
